In the past, thanks to the courage of some aviators and the generosity of many private persons, has already been possible to prepare special flights to bring humanitarian aid to people in trouble, even if far away. People overwhelmed by wars or severe natural disasters – catastrophes, earthquakes, and tsunami – receive loads of indispensable articles, to be distributed to those, mainly children, who are more exposed to calamities. As is happened, for example, in Kosovo.

People overwhelmed by wars or severe natural disasters – catastrophes, earthquakes, and tsunami – receive loads of indispensable articles, to be distributed to those, mainly children, who are more exposed to calamities. As is happened, for example, in Kosovo.
Now the project gets more ambitious. Canguro O.N.L.U.S. Flights Aid (Non-profit making organization for community work) plans to realize the first in Europe proper Hospital Plane. We will deal with a large aircraft equipped like a true “air clinic”, with two ophthalmologic operating theatres, one deontological room as well as holds full of high tech instruments, medicines and food. It may be the only possible salvation for isolated villages, where the so-called “last hope journeys” would be logistically impracticable and economically prohibitive.
