Torino Metano Srl is a leading Italian company in the field of clean and alternative fuels.
It provides integrated solutions for methane and hydrogen transportation, and promotes new technologies to save-energy and reduce pollution emissions.
80% of Torino Metano is owned by GTT – Gruppo Torinese Trasporti SpA – and 20% by Fornovo Gas Srl, a company at the forefront of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) components.
The activities
Torino Metano was founded in 2001 to manage both public and private methane refuelling stations.
Over the years the number of activities has increased – now Torino Metano plans and manages natural gas refuelling facilities.
It also plans and manages warehouses and garages for storing and repairing public and private means of transport.
Recently it has specialized in setting up and managing workshops for assembling and installing mechanic components for sustainable mobility and energy-saving purposes. Torino Metano has also specialized in full service maintenance of natural gas refuelling facilities for public and private companies.
Today Torino Metano has accumulated a great deal of experience in finding financial sources for working to support the development of low-emission fuels, feasibility studies, the use of integrated systems for sustainable mobility, energy-saving technologies applied to the territory, and projects carried out in collaboration with private and public partners to promote and spread the use of natural gas for transport.

Open to the public, it guarantees good service for citizens and associated companies (Amiat, the City of Turin, Car Sharing, Municipalities).

Gerbido Plant
Expanded in 2005, it is now the largest bus refuelling station in Europe. It has 16 sequential points and 5 gas compression units which can refuel up to 150 vehicles a day. It also has a repair shop that can store up to 27 methane vehicles.

The Plant in Corso Novara, Turin.
Methane refuelling station created exclusively for GTT and AMIAT means of transport. It has 6 refuelling points and 3 gas compression units which can refuel up to 110 vehicles. The district includes a repair shop for assembling methane compression units.

Methane refuelling plant for buses built for APS Holding with the collaboration of Iribus SpA and Stefanelli SpA. It has 6 refuelling points and 3 gas compression units.

Methane refuelling plant created exclusively for the public transport company SUN SpA and other companies that have an agreement. It has 4 refuelling points and 2 gas compression units.
Aosta, 2007
Methane refuelling facility created exclusively for SVAP and other associated companies. It has 4 refuelling points and 2 gas compression units. (It is being completed).
