Fiano, with its 2703 inhabitants, boasts the beautiful parish church of St. Desiderio, and a nineteenth-century chapel dedicated to St. Antonio Abate. Festivals and public manifestations are frequent: barrel-races, flag-wavers and musicians, between folklore and devotion.
Vallo Torinese (747 inhabitants), then, is renowned for the parish baroque church of St. Secondo. The town keeps the remains of Maria Orsola, whose beatification process is ongoing. The parish priest recalls her exemplar figure and life. Castles, parks, tiny churches, ancient chapels and routes for mountain bike surround the area…
Val della Torre, with its hamlets, includes 42 burghs. Its centre is overlooked by the beautiful Lombard-Romanesque church with a nave and two aisles. The numerous chapels testify a diffused popular religiousness in the surroundings. Here, as well, festivals and public holidays are lively: wild boar, “polenta”, bread and “focaccia” for everyone.
