The natural scenery is enriched with hills, vineyards and orchards, in a land of overall 113 square kilometres.
Modern commercial and productive assets cohabit here with antique techniques and trades, within a restless tradition that, in many occasions, has been well deserving the longed-for “Artisan Excellence” trademark given by Region Piedmont. Pastry shops (soft macaroon), wine farms (Erbaluce, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto), gastronomic farmhouses, wood workshops (furnishing, frames) and much more: 11 Communes overall, with a total population of 25,000 inhabitants. By and large, a district of great natural beauty, industrious and diffused wealth, thanks, as well, to the resourceful nature of men and families, among age-old traditions and new technologies.
